Have you ever wondered what the crew of the first Normandy were up to before they joined Shepard’s merry band of misfits? The Swing of Things explores how a few of our favorite crew members knew each other and just why then ended up on the SR-1 in the first place. This story takes place before Mass Effect.

I’d intended to end it with Chapter 4 but then a plot bunny ran by with Ambassador Udina in its mouth and now I’m deep into Chapter 16 and the end has come into sight, if only I can get there from here. I know where I want the story to go but it simply refuses to cooperate. Chapter 10 explores Kaidan's personal history and Anderson shares a little of his own in Chapter 12.
